Machine-learning models — one for greyhounds, one for gallops — score every runner from information available before the race (broadly: form, class, speed, draw and conditions, connections, and the market), turn the field into win and place probabilities, and combine them with the live market price (the gallops model is trained against the market itself). Yes — trained machine-learning models (gradient-boosted decision trees) learn from hundreds of thousands of past runs rather than following hand-set rules, and are periodically retrained on newer results. Every model is tested walk-forward: trained only on the past, then scored on races it has never seen. A race the model hasn't rated yet says so rather than showing a guess.

The fair test of a probability is calibration: across many races, runners the model gives a 30% chance should win about 30% of the time. Every model is checked that way on races it has never seen (trained only on earlier races). Accuracy isn't profit: the models haven't been shown to beat the market after bookmaker margins, and we don't claim they do. Paper strategies are the closest thing to a test you can run yourself: your rules are bet on every race from the moment you save them, at the real price 1–4 minutes before the jump, and each bet is compared with Betfair's starting price. They're still paper results, not a track record.

It will, often. A 30% top pick is expected to lose about 7 times in 10. Racing carries real randomness — interference, a slow start, a wide run. No model gets close to being right every race, and the market is a very hard benchmark to beat.

UK and Irish races are shown in Sydney time. Greyhound trials, UK greyhound hurdle races and handicaps are excluded. New Zealand racing isn't covered.

Yes — your first monthly plan (Pro or Premium) is free for 30 days. You add a card when you start, but nothing is charged during the trial, and we email you a few days before it ends. If you keep it, the monthly price is charged when the trial ends and every month after until you cancel. Cancel from your account before the trial ends and you pay nothing. One free trial per person; yearly plans don't include one.

No. PuntPulse publishes a model's statistical estimates of race outcomes, the gaps between those estimates and bookmakers' prices, and a Kelly calculator you can run on your own bank. None of it is a tip or a recommendation to bet, and the estimates are often wrong.
